Reviewing ancient texts for design techniques still used
today revealed that what is pleasing to the eye in organizational design still
holds true centuries later. In the Ethiopic Bible alignment was very obviously
used as a design element. The graphics and
words themselves were centered and spaced in a way that was pleasing to the
eye. The contrast in color used for the
text, assuming the red text was use as the word of God as it is today, also demonstrates
design techniques used throughout the centuries. There is repetition used in not only the
colors but the placement of the graphics on each page.
